Senior Strategy Consultant

PBC requires an experienced senior strategy consultant to aid in delivering our consultancy services. The role will be based around strategizing for our clients’ eCommerce entry and expansion, with a focus on platform selection, logistics and fulfilment, and business optimization. Successful candidates may be expected to lead a team of junior consultants/analysts in forming and presenting client recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Professionally deliver PBC’s consultancy services, all the while focusing on how to propel the clients’ financial growth and market expansion.

  • Project manage the implementation of eCommerce and optimization services.

  • Have either the ability to execute a project independently or lead a team of junior consultants/analysts in delivering our services.

  • Select and apply analytical and optimization methodologies.

  • Tailor consultancy services to the client.

  • Contribute to the culture of innovation and continuous improvement, reporting to a PBC director.

Required Experience:

  • History of delivering top quality projects in a time and budget appropriate fashion.

  • Confidence with benchmarking accompanied by strong analytical skills.

  • Previous management experience in the eCommerce or retail sector.

  • Confidence in financial analysis.

  • Superior, Idiomatic command of the English Language

Education and Qualifications:

  • 2:1/1st University degree in Business/Management/Economics/eCommerce and Retail

  • For non-native English speakers – an IELTs score of Band 7 or higher

eCommerce consultant:

PBC requires a motivated eCommerce consultant to report to a senior strategy consultant. The position will involve aiding in the delivery of PBC’s eCommerce, logistics and fulfilment, and optimization services. The successful candidate will perform client centric benchmarking and analysis tasks, helping to form conclusions that will eventually drive the client toward financial growth and market expansion,

Required experience

  • Experience of ecommerce or logistics operations for a retailer or service provider

  • Experience of delivering successful projects as part of a team.

  • Experience of process mapping, research and analysis.

  • Confidence in presenting reports to clients

Skills and attributes:

  • Takes initiative with good problem solving skills.

  • Superior level of written and spoken communication and numeracy.

  • Professional manner and strong presentation skills

  • Analytical skills and a logical mind-set.

  • Confident use of MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word. .

Application Architect/Senior

PBC requires an Application Architect to work in the technical development of systems that help PBC deliver its services. The successful candidate will be required to design, and oversee the development of, technical solutions that allow us to deliver leading business optimization and logistics to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a team, design and oversee the development of eCommerce systems, including website builds, order management systems, product information management (PIM) systems.

  • Liaise with the client to ensure solutions are tailored to need and appropriately delivered.

  • Ensure all work conducted by you and your development team is to the standard that PBC requires, ensuring top quality at all times.

  • Communicate with senior and operational strategists to ensure developed systems have real value to clients.

  • Report to PBC directors and be willing to adapt your work to the requirements of the company.

  • Contribute to PBC’s culture of innovation and continuous improvement with active, practical suggestions and feedback

  • Act as a generally technological consultant to PBC directors, employees and clients.

Required Experience:

  • Experience of full software and platform development including web based and multi-channel systems

  • Knowledge of various programming languages required by the context of current clients

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of object oriented design techniques and patterns.

  • Experience of standard software development techniques’

  • Knowledge of integration patterns and technologies (for example, Websphere MQ, Mule or other ESBs).

  • Good customer facing professional skills including problem solving, negotiation and change management.

Desirable Experience and Knowledge:

  • Retail or ecommerce experience.

  • Confidence with at least one major ecommerce platform

  • Experience in eCommerce optimization and algorithmic data analysis

  • Experience of order management systems, and ERP systems in general

  • Database design experience.

  • Network/infrastructure design experience.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Superior level of written and spoken communication and numeracy.

  • Takes initiative and is able to work independently or lead a team when required.

  • Committed to continuously improving the business and reporting to PBC directors with feedback on organisational processes

  • Computer Science or other relevant technical degree (2:1 or higher).
